Candice Christiansen (she/they) Founder, Clinical Director, LCMHC, Neuro-Inclusive IFS, CSAT-S, CMAT-S, Certified EMDR,Psychedelic Integration Therapist

Due to her extensive waitlist, Candice only accepts clients through written referral. The best way to engage her is through our Neuro-Inclusive Intensives, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), and our KAP Intensives.

Candice Christiansen is the Founder and Clinical Director of Namasté Center For Healing. She is a Neuro-Inclusive IFS and Certified EMDR licensed therapist, an IITAP trained CSAT (certified Sex Addiction Therapist), and CMAT (certified Multiple Addiction Therapist) who has been offering her wisdom as a root worker in the mental health field for 20 years. Candice is also a Neurodifferent published poet and author who co-created a Neuro-Inclusive Approach to IFS and our Neuro-Inclusive approach to recovery from sexual and relationship issues. Candice is also a hope merchant, a space holder, a container, and a guide who tends to people’s deeply buried parts of human suffering, including generational/ancestral wounds. In Journey work, she assists in metabolizing suffering into possibility. She believes in guiding people to lean into their own inner resources, moving in and through their lifetime and generational shadows related to intimacy ruptures and trauma. Through this process and with the collaborative support of her clinical and holistic healing team, the beautiful humans she supports find self-love, joy as well as recover who they truly are in their purest forms.

In June 2024, Candice completed the advanced certificate program at the highly competitive California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) for Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (PAT) and Research. She is a member of the American Psychedelic Practitioners Association. Candice has a small caseload where she weaves in her Neuro-Inclusive approach to IFS, Somatic IFS, EMDR and ancestral and generational work with the humans she supports. Her passion is leading our Intensive Program and works primarily with our intensive clients, many who attend both our Neuro-Inclusive Intensives as well as our KAP Intensives. She has trained at The International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) where she is a consultant. She is often hired to consult some of the most prestigious inpatient and intensive sexual recovery programs in the United States as well as medical providers, mental health providers, individuals and family members from abroad. She is certified in EMDR trauma therapy who has trained with the leaders in EMDR, Complex trauma and DID (Carol Forgash, Katie O’Shea, Susan Poulsen, Philip Manfield), Bruce Hersey (EMDR & IFS), and the late AJ Popky (creator of the the DeTUR™ EMDR protocol for addictions). She completed Level 1 IFS training in October 2022 through the IFS Institute. She and Meg created a Neuro-Inclusive Approach to IFS and wrote a chapter about their approach in “Altogether Us”(20230.. Candice is the author of Mastering The Trauma Wound ©2016, and Compassionate KAP: Creating Neuro-Affirmative “Set and Settings” for Autistic Adults Participating in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). 

She has been published in the Salt Lake Tribune,  CAMFT (California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist) Magazine, Talkspace.com, and Dose.com, writing about various topics including: The Truth about Sex Addiction, Pornography Addiction, Depression in Men and Women, Coping with Grief, Narcissism, Being Ghosted in Dating, and Dealing with Anxiety. Over the past decade, she has been a relationship expert for Fox 13's The Place, Channel 4’s Good Things Utah, and KUTV 2’s morning show where she has shared her expertise on various issues related to intimacy, sex, and healthy relationships. In the past, Candice has been a contributor on www.addictionwise.com, an on-line support for families of loved ones with drug/alcohol addiction. Candice served on the DOPL Substance Use Disorder Board for 5 years (2017-2022). In the past she also served on the Utah Mental Health Counselor Association's (UMHCA) Board, and also served as a board member for The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health's (SASH).

Chris Kishiyama (he/him), Chief Mindfulness Officer, Board Certified Life Coach and Holistic Health Provider, Neuro-Inclusive IFS Coach, Gottman Leader, Psychedelic Integration Coach

Expertise: IFS Coaching for First Responders, Individuals with Relationship Issues, Brain-Based Support for Adults who are Autistic, ADD, ADHD, Bipolar, OCD, have Parkinsons, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Addiction issues, Sleep issues, Chronic pain, or Other Health Issues. Chris Kishiyama has Lakota, Japanese, and Hawaiian lineage. As a BIPOC human, Chris spent 20 years in various aspects of law enforcement (SWAT, Serial Killer Profiler, Oversaw treatment programs for AP&P, recovered lost lives in NYC during America’s 9/11 tragedy). Upon retiring, he provided business and executive consulting to Entrepreneurs and CEOs, including the Supreme Court of Jamaica for 4 years before joining our holistic team at Namasté In 2019. In 2020, Chris went back to school to begin a double Ph.D. in Naturopathic Medicine and Psychoneuroimmunology. He is currently a Ph.D Candidate and Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, Certified Life Coach and Certified in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP). He offers holistic, Neuro-Sensory Coaching™, Executive Coaching, and weaves in modalities such as Brain Wave Balancing with various populations. He supports our Indigenous populations, as well as our Neuro-”typical” and Neurodifferent clients in honoring their history, ancestors, various neurotypes, and past trauma by helping them understand their neuro-cycles. He provides support primarily using IFS coaching to first responders and adults with various neurotypes in navigating stress in a evidence-based way, provides concrete tools for navigating Executive Function Challenges, and teaches Entrepreneurs and CEOs how to own their value, transition their companies, and do strategic planning. As an Indigenous healer he walks alongside people on medicine journeys, being a hope holder who contains and metabolizes suffering for the humans he supports and the generations who came before him.

In April 2023, Chris completed his Ketamine Provider Training through Journease in SLC, Utah. In 2023, he was blessed by a Seminole Medicine man to provide indigenous wisdom to those who are suffering from various emotional/mental ailments. Chris weaves in the indigenous teachings he has learned from his lineages as well as other medicine men from different Native Tribes. In September 2024, Chris completed his level 1 IFS training through the IFS institute.

Meg Martinez-Dettamanti (she/her) LCMHC, Neuro-Inclusive IFS, CSAT, CMAT, EMDR, Chief Program Officer

Meg has limited openings. She is primarily available to see clients through our Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy program and our customized Neuro-Inclusive Intensives.

Expertise: Neuro-Inclusive IFS, Neurodivergence (Autism, ADHD/ADD, or similar), Complex Trauma, Betrayal Trauma, Problematic Sexual Behavior including Escalated Addictions (illegal behavior), Couples Therapy, LGBTQIA2, Sex and Intimacy Issues, Intensive Therapy for complicated issues/relationship dynamics, Psychedelic Assisted Therapy.

Meg is an LCMHC, CSAT, CMAT, EMDR trained and IFS Level 1 Therapist. She is also our Chief Program Officer and a published author who has co-authored several chapters with Candice, as well as co-created our Neuro-Inclusive Approach to IFS and our Neuro-Inclusive Approach to healing sexual and relationship issues. Meg, like Candice is a root worker who offers support to the humans she sits with, offering hope and compassionate guidance as she helps tend to the deep suffering that humans carry as well as guide them to heal their generational trauma. She and Candice work closely together to ensure all humans we support receive accurate, compassionate guidance as they navigate their healing journey. Meg is a brilliant EMDR Trauma Therapist who has trained at Francine Shapiro's EMDR Institute and has received consultation from Ego State Therapy/Trauma Experts Anastasia Doulis and Cindy White. Meg has also trained with Jenna Riemersma to learn the core concepts related to Internal Family Systems Model. Meg completed her Level 1 IFS training at the IFS Institute. Meg also has advanced training in providing treatment to individuals who have complex generational wounding and trauma, Neurodifferences (Autism, ADHD, ADD, SPCD) and various intimacy ruptures. She is well versed in child welfare and the legal issues that arise from sexually addictive behaviors and oversees our sexual abuse prevention track.  Meg assists Candice in all of our programs, including our on-going professional and program development. In 2018, she and Candice co-authored a chapter on Sexual Abuse Prevention for a book written in the United Kingdom. 

Meg provides individual, couples therapy, and psycho-educational support for Neurodifferent men with riskier sexual behavior(prevention). She co-leads our customized intensives, KAP intensives, and KAP with Candice and collaborates with our local, national and international referents to ensure the humans we support have continuity of care upon completing our intensives or when we serve their clients in our groups. She is a consultant/trainer at the International Institute of Trauma and Addictions Professionals, providing annual education and training around Polyvagal theory and sexual recovery.


 

Monica Starrett (she/her), LCMHC, EMDR, Brainspotting,
DBT, Individual Therapist

Expertise: C-PTSD, Acute and Chronic Trauma, LGBTQIA2, Substance Abuse, Depression, Anxiety, Aging

We are SO excited to have Monica Starrett, LCMHC return to our team! Monica is a seasoned trauma therapist with over a decade of experience working primarily with adults who have a history of trauma, are struggling with addiction, the challenges of LGBTQIA2 life, depression or overall anxiety. She loves the Rumi quote, "What you seek is seeking you..." (Rumi). She feels profoundly honored to journey with each of her clients as they work together to transform the painful aspects of their life into insights that will heal them. I believe we - all of us - have an innate desire to be seen, heard...and challenged! As she says, “You are wired to heal! I will be your witness and your guide as we walk together to discover hidden strengths!”

Her therapeutic approach is eclectic~ she uses EMDR and Brainspotting which are an adjunctive modality to talk therapy that effectively address trauma. She also uses elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy techniques to unearth the hidden pain and process it with her clients into adaptive fibers of resiliency.


Debbie Coleman (she/her), LCMHC, CYT, Yoga Therapist

Debbie offers yoga therapy as part of our Intensive Therapy programming for our Intensive Clients. Expertise: Complex Trauma, Betrayal Trauma, Domestic Violence, Substance Use Disorder, Life Transitions, Depression, Anxiety, Life Transitions, Grief/Loss

Debbie provides yoga therapy at our center with our intensive clients.  Her yoga therapy training as well as IFS training has allowed her to guide individuals and couples to understand how their parts live and communicate via their bodies. She supports clients in cultivating a Self to Part compassionate relationship somatically, and provides tools that help them with regulation and navigation of their bodies and internal symptoms.

Heath Selin (he/him), LCSW, DBT & EMDR Therapist, CSAT Individual & Group Therapist

Expertise: Acute and Chronic Trauma, Escalated Addictions, Sex or Porn Addiction, Anxiety, Depression, Executive Function Challenges, Betrayal Trauma, Couples, Substance Abuse, Autism, ADHD, older teens.

Heath is a compassionate, loving, seasoned clinician, Certified Sen Addiction Therapist (CSAT), DBT and EMDR Trauma Therapist. He a completed training in Polyvagal Theory with Trauma Expert Deb Dana, as well as IFS Therapy with Dr. Alexia Rothman. He is currently attending the IFS Online Circle program. Heath has 20 years of supporting and guiding adults who seek healing from a variety of mental health and generational struggles (depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress, ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Narcissism, Rage), substance abuse, intimacy and relationship issues, and individuals with escalated addictions and sexual offending. Heath spent over a decade working as a social worker for Valley Behavioral Health providing clinical supervision to other clinicians as well as working as a lead therapist providing individual and group therapy to individuals who were legally involved for issues related to trauma, domestic abuse, substance abuse (including alcohol assessments and substance abuse assessments), problematic sexual behavior, escalated addictions, and sexual offending. His wealth of experience provides our clients with compassionate and effective resources for managing challenging emotions individually and in relationships in order to calm their nervous system and create relief from past shame, trauma, and attachment wounds.

Janene Pack (she/her), LCMHC, LPC, Individual Therapist

Janene has limited openings.

Expertise: Teens and adults diagnosed as Autistic, ADHD, Couples, Betrayal Trauma, Acute and Chronic Trauma, and Coparenting Issues.

Janene Pack, LCMHC (Utah), LPC (Virginia) has been providing support to adolescents, young adults, parents, and adults for over ten years. She received her master’s degree in Counseling from the University of New Mexico, where she completed a dual program in order to be licensed to work privately and in private and local school systems. She gained extensive experience in the private sector and in schools counseling adolescents and young adults with Autism, ADD, emotional challenges, and trauma. Janene uses an attachment focus in order to support humans in building the effective tools to better understand themselves and connect with the people around them. Janene’s therapeutic focus has expanded over the years to include working with individuals and families experiencing relational trauma and betrayal. She uses physiological and cognitive-informed therapies to process intrapersonal and interpersonal injuries to help clients live a whole-hearted life. At NCH, Janene provides individual and couples therapy to our clients who have experienced relational and betrayal trauma, parents of neurodivergent individuals, older teens who have issues related to fitting in, self-esteem, and older teens and young adult clients who are Autistic, ADHD/ADD or similar types of neurodivergence.
